345 is a piece scored for

(3) movements,
(4) four "instruments": soprano/trumpet/cello/marimba
(5) five players: 1 soprano, 1 trumpets, 1 cello, and 2 marimba players on 1 marimba.

This was written for some specific faculty members who taught at Jacksonville University in November 2003. Toni Steve, a good friend of mine, was heading up the new music programming at the time and this piece was written for his programming needs.

It is a "puff" piece.

1. Wind-up CuckooClock (yes it slows down and stops!)

2. Angel (the serious movement)
The lyrics suggest that we have Angels watching over us.

3. Quint-Jig which gets into the "dueling banjo" routine
between the trumpet extrodinaire and the
soprano Diva!  She even sings the lyrics,
"I am so pretty"!  I think the Diva wins!
